Mr. Kyle has been involved in the engineering, planning, and landscape architecture profession for over thirty years as a landscape architect and land planner. Born in Baton Rouge, LA, but raised in Biloxi, Mississippi, he attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and received his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture in 1984. Soon thereafter he accepted a position with a civil engineering firm in Nashville, TN to establish a landscape architecture and land planning design group. In 1987, he successfully passed the professional exam, and became a registered landscape architect. While in Nashville, Mr. Kyle completed the executive program for business studies at Belmont College, and was awarded a Masters of Business Administration in 1989.
Shortly after receiving his MBA, Mr. Kyle relocated to back to Louisiana where he accepted a position to manage a New Orleans office for a multi-discipline design firm based out of Houma, LA. After a seven year tenure with this firm, Mr. Kyle formed Kyle Associates in Mandeville, LA as a multi-discipline civil engineering, landscape architecture, and planning firm. Bringing in an experienced professional civil engineer as a partner, he utilized his years of experience in the multi-discipline design industry to create a more efficient organization where clients benefit through technology and operation efficiency, leading to faster project development and problem resolution. He currently holds the position of President of that company, which serves municipal and private clients primarily in the south Louisiana and Mississippi region. Although his primary function at Kyle Associates is business management, Mr. Kyle continues to hold technical duties relating to landscape architecture, civil site design, land use planning.
In addition to his development of the engineering firm, Mr. Kyle is the managing member of various real estate holding companies that include residential and commercial properties in St. Tammany Parish, LA, rural land in Mississippi, multi-family and commercial developments in Mississippi, and a waterfront property on the Louisiana coast. Mr. Kyle was twice appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to the Louisiana State Police Commission, and was also appointed to the LA State Highway Safety Commission by Governor Jindal as well. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for American Bank and Trust, and is a member of the Northshore Business Council. Mr. Kyle is a member of St. Timothy on the Northshore United Methodist Church, and has been since 1995. In addition to his professional and business accomplishments, Mr. Kyle is an avid outdoorsman, and has hunted and fished areas around the country since his youth.
